Buckston-on-Eno Business Meeting 5/26/26

Kingdom News:
The group went over upcoming Kingdom events for the next two months and discussed the fact that Atlantia University was likely to become entirely online rather than in-person due to site contract complications. Also discussed that the Kingdom Offices for Chatelaine and Emergency Deputy Seneschal continue to seek applicants. The Baron shared that SCA Inc is trialing a new type of group called a “Hamlet” which would allow groups struggling with membership to downgrade duties while remaining extant. He agreed to forward details to others later in the week.
Baronial News: It was shared with the group that Master Geiter would be stepping into the role as Baronial Seneschal and Noble Kirmele would become the Boreas Herald.
Canton News: The Exchequer reported that Wells Fargo continues to have difficulty processing the paperwork to move our account. The group unanimously voted to approve moving the account to Chase Bank. The Knight Marshall reported that new people continue to show up to weekly fighter practices and he was preparing to offer youth combat at the Curly Cross event. The Seneschal reported continued difficulty finding a successor, and group member Jenna stepped up during the meeting and volunteered to become warranted and accept the Buckston Seneschal position. The MoAS reports that the first class in May had 1 participant and we are having a project night at Piney Wood Park on June 18th at 7pm so please bring whatever you’re working on and a cool drink with you!
