Buckston Birthday Notes

Garb competition – People will need a way to know who is entered into the garb competition. Anna suggests we make simple belt pouches for people to put their ‘votes’ in, and so that people know who is entering the competition.

Flamingo Croquet is happening – Aesa needs to put that on the website. Mor the Merry will run it.

Dancing – asking Michelle Koch.

Bardic – Caitrina will reach out to bards.

Either Caitrina or Aelfric will be the Royal Liaison Coordinator. Bambi had the idea that a playing card could deliver an invite to the royals at Crown Tourney.

Painting the Roses – Anna suggests we use children’s finger paint, as it is water soluble.

Portrait tent.

Gold Key – Charles will bring trailer, and we will find a way to rig up a dressing room. Idea was given to have a large box with ‘return garb here’ so that Gold Key doesn’t need to be manned after gate closes.

 Field coordinator – Caitrina, as field coordinator, is putting out a call for volunteers for the martial activities.

Lunch – will be $5. Menu to be determined.

Registration – We should still be able to use SCARS for registration.

Other needs

  • high table – We need new cloths for high table. Anna suggests blue with white stamps.
  • prizes – we may be reaching out to artisans for prizes.
  • volunteers – we still need to coordinate volunteers for gold key, troll, and newcomers point. Maria is willing to be at newcomers point.

Shed run will be the Thursday before the event.

Event fees and family max are set as follows for this event. Karl proposed; Veronica seconded; motion passed unanimously.

Adult SCA Member $15
Adult Non-member $20
Youth 14-17 $10
Youth 6-13 $5
Youth 0-5 free

Family max is defined as one adult, one child from the same household.
