We represent the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international organization dedicated to re-creating the lifestyle of the Middle Ages and Early Renaissance. Our area of coverage ranges from Durham and Northern Orange county all the way out to the western edge of Alamance county.
Weekly Meetings
Meetings are posted on the calendar. IF NO MEETING IS LISTED ON THE CALENDAR FOR THAT WEEK THERE IS NO MEETING THAT WEEK.
The location of each meeting will be on the calendar as well. Sometimes meetings are held at alternate locations than the church.
Business meetings happen on the 4th Thursday of the month. BUSINESS MEETINGS ARE NOW VIRTUAL ONLY. If you are new to the group, get your bearings by contacting the chatelaine or seneschal.
Newcomers can email the chatelaine for any and all information.
Fighter Practice
Our weekly fighter practice is at Piney Wood Park in Durham, from 6:00 PM to full dark, every Thursday. We practice under cover, rain or shine. Loaner armor is available, but remember to bring your own groin protection.
400 E Woodcroft Parkway
Durham, NC 27713
To find us, enter the park and keep left, past the dog park to a large paved parking lot. We’ll be in the picnic shelter uphill from the parking area.
